Google AdSense
Google AdSense rewards you for creating sites rich in high-quality focused content. This sort of sites make the Net a better place, ofcourse, these are the sites that build traffic and trust, establish credibility, and effectively pre-sell your products or services.

In mid 1990's websites used to earn income by receiving money from advertisers by publishing or allowing companies to deploy a banner ad campaign on your website.Usually these banners would be brilliantly designed to catch the eye of the consumer along with a short message. The website in turn would receive a tiny profit from a click-through, which was when a customer actually clicked on the banner and went into the website and purchased the product. This was considered traffic-driven income. It was the industry standard until Google came along.

Google has since revolutionized the click-through market by using an innovative approach to advertising. The beauty behind getting involved with Google now more than any other search engine is due to Google's straightforward approach to a banner or content-free home page. You would sign up your website for affiliation with Google and upon approval your site would be given special code to place the targeted ads on your website.Basically saving Google the space and inconvenience of having to deal with banner ads.

You may be still wondering what Google AdSense actually does. AdSense is a program in which you get paid for targeting your readers to another websites product or service.A click through is measured when someone actually clicks on the hyperlink. Many web sites now have Google AdSense ads employed.Google AdSense uses Google Adwords content and services in a display box that you place strategically on your website.Google Adword customers pay Google a determined amount of money which will be paid to the website from Google.Since the popularity of Google has risen to such prominence, AdSense affiliates can make a nice amount of money should they be able to deploy the Google AdSense box properly on their website.Other sites like Earthlink and Ask.com also employ the same technologies through click through methodologies. The more people that visit popular sites and see your name or hyperlink associated with a product the better chance your site will be seen. Remember, you will be paid a small amount per click for some websites and much more for others. What determines the amount is how much the Adwords advertiser places on each click.

Advertisers can pay as little as .50 per click in upwards of $5 (even more).Often campaigns are budgeted for a period of time. The amount budgeted will be rationed over a period of days, the less days involved or the higher price per click the higher the ranking. The more traffic you receive will increase the possibility of a sale and a click through fee in your account.

In short,Google's idea to market itself from the inside out has changed the way websites are doing business.Starting as an AdSense affiliate is a practical approach to making money using one of the hottest tools on the Internet today.

Google AdSense Tips
Google AdSense is an advertising program that was launched in the middle of 2003 by Google, the popular search engine. Google acts as an intermediary between a vast number of advertisers and an equally impressive number of website owners.

Advertisers sign up with Google and create text ads that they would like to be displayed. Google displays these ads on the result page of searches that people conduct from Google.com.The Google AdSense program allows these advertisements to show up on pages all over the internet. To see some of the ads themselves, take a look at the sidebar on this page. The webmaster simply places a special code in their page and Google AdSense takes care of the rest.Perhaps the most valuable aspect of the system is that robots (specialized computer programs that scan internet pages) analyzes pages that ads will be placed on to determine which ads are most relevant to the page's content.

The relevancy of ads placed by AdSense varies on all sorts of criteria, but most ads are usually very relevant to the page on which the ad is displayed, e.g., the ads on this page should be related to the internet advertising and the Google AdSense program itself.

Advertisers pay Google a certain amount for each time one of their ads are clicked. Google keeps a portion of this payment and passes on the rest to the owner of the website itself. Page views of the advertisements are irrelevant in terms of generating revenue in the program - commissions are only generated when internet users actually click on the ads themselves.

Google AdSense cheques are sent out on a monthly basis. Many webmasters wait in anticipation of their cheques since AdSense provides them a simple way to recoup some of the losses associated with posting websites on the internet. In some cases, webmasters can even make a profit using Google AdSense.

Google Adsense is an easy and lucrative method of home business for practically everyone.Publishers find adsense to be a very simple marketing method for generating money.Google does all the hard work to make it so.We will not discuss how much google engineers sweat, we will discuss the facts, which are evident but not discussed in most of the publications. Before experiencing the adsense banners in his own publications a publisher's thinking remains clouded by myths, generated by usual internet gossip and unscrupulous sellers. They hit the sentiment of readers by assuming the readers are not earning as expected and offer to share keywords, best adsense format and other ways of achieving higher commission.

Google adsense bar displays ads from google adword clients. Based on the traffic available and demands of advertisers, the bidding process decides how much an adword advertiser should pay. Lower limit is at rock bottom $0.05 only while sky is the upper limit. Many advertisers bid $30 per click to get a top rank in sponsored sites listed in search results. As traffic in google search engine is much higher than any of the adsense publishers, google reserves the slots in sponsored sites for the high paying ads only. The lower order of bidders do not find a place in google search engines results page. These ads are put up in pages of websites showing adsense banners.

Imagine a keyword fetches bids from $30 to $0.10 per click. The total number of bidders is 50. If google rotates these ads one after another, google earns total $120 in one cycle of rotation. This means google earns $4 per ad on average. But if they restrict to only ten slots and allow only top bidders, the average earning rises to $15 per ad. That's what they do. The rest of the 40 ads are distributed to adsense publishers. If a publisher has traffic comparable to a google search result page, he is rewarded with the high paying ads also.

As publishers depend largely on search engine traffic, they do not find high paying ads in their pages.Site traffic can be increased several folds (by links from blogsites, forums, newsletters, public ads and the rest). In normal cases, a click on an adsense may fetch anything between $0.03 to $0.50 as the lower order ads are rotated. These bidders have to find places in adsense bars on web pages with matching keyword contents.

We hope the myth about choosing high paying keyword is clarified by the above example. Even if a small publisher chooses a keyword with $100 top bid, he will find clicks worth $0.10 to $0.50 only. The long term click through rate is normally 2% to 3%. That suggests any one of those ads may be clicked anytime.

An exception to this practice takes place, when adsense is installed in a page for the first time. A special adsense robot visits the page to check if it conforms to the rules. If text contents are not focused it can not decide what group of ads should be appropriate, instead it inserts a few high paying ads (only for the first time). The first set of ads are unrelated to the page contents. These ads do not find enough impressions as traffic for their adword is small. This is why some surfers have reported in adsense forums about finding an odd reading ad in few websites occasionally. If these ads are not available at that point of time, public service ads are put up.

So far in the discussion, we assumed that advertisers make a fixed bid for a keyword or phrase. In actual they do not. Advertisers are allowed to set upper and lower limits to cost of clicks.Imagine 2 merchants bidding for the same keyword. Merchant SiteA.com sets his limits from $30 to $20 per click, Merchant SiteB.com chooses $25 to $15 as his limits. To start with SiteA is given higher ranking than SiteB. But if SiteB ad is clicked more often than SiteA ad, Google will lower the position of SiteA with respect to SiteB to give SiteB more oppurtunity. SiteA wiil be placed with other ads having similar click through rate. In the lower position, clicks will cost SiteA a value less than $30. SiteA will spend as much as ads in his neighbourhood are paying. Thus no ad will have to pay its highest bid amount for all the clicks made. But if an ad lacking in optimization in choosing words, collects very poor click through rate, it lands in adsense bar of websites.

The average income from adsense publishing lies in the range of $40 to $70 in the begining stages. It depends on daily traffic, keywords used and optimization techniques. If multiple web sites are added to the same account, income can rise tenfolds with time.

There is a growing number of websites, typically directory/encyclopedia types, who go for adword and adsense together for the same keywords. The idea initially seems puzzling, as they have to pay much more money to get much less. But the idea works out to be very effective in optimizing adsense to increase earning. By participating in adword campaign, they come to know about the existing bid amounts, their own positions and click through rate. This helps them in eliminating the low bidding ads from their adsense banners, whenever they appear. They earn much more by adsense as only high paying ads appear. They themselves bid for a lower range of PPC rates, ensuring low expenditure for targeted traffic. Besides google adsense, they insert other ads related to page text. The total earnings from ad campaigns far exceed the expenses in adword advertising.

Google has set strict norms for collecting traffic in adsense publishers guidelines. But there is hardly any such directives for advertisers of adword. Google Adsense is a monetization revolution for small content publishers and encourages higher quality content, helping the net overall. Now every small business person can monetize his/her passion to expertise or knowledge.
